Invisalign - Unsatisfying result

Hi, here is my situation. 2 years ago I started with invisalign treatment and the treatment suppose to last for 1 year. After the 1st year, they issued me a new set of treatment, which would take another 1 year to complete. Well 3 months before I finish the second set of invisalign, I had to move to a different country. And at the same time I notice that one of my teeth didn't fit well and resulting in getting pushed down. Before I started the treatment, I paid the orthodontist the full amount, 1-time fee, which would cover everything, around $5000.

Well, after I move I needed a new orthodontist to finish the 3 months left of invisalign treatment. My original orthodontist, which I paid the full amount in the beginning, will not give me any refund back that I can use to continue my treatment in another country. Of course I had to pay the new orthodontist for each visit, not a big deal, there was only 3 month left. But here is the big problem:
The one tooth that didn't fit the invisalign right before I move got pushed down almost half way and got rotated. To fix this, I have to get a braces that will push it back up and rotate it 90 degree. This will cost about $1200-$1400 to the new orthodontist. And will take another year to complete. This is crazy, I have to pay out of my pocket an additional $2,000 (cost of the last 3 months visit + cost to fix 1 tooth) for the result I should be getting from the original orthodontist?!? Should my original orthodontist be reliable for this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Nobody can tell you without know the details of what you were told, not told and what was agreed between you and the orthodontist. Although to find two specialist orthodontists providing Invisalign is pretty good, most I know avoid it like the plague cos the results are generally disappointing.

Yea, unfortunately we didn't talk about what will happen if the result wasn't satisfying. I didn't know I will be moving at that time, so we didn't talk about what would happen if I needs to move. I really didn't expect the treatment to last more than 2 years, otherwise I would have chosen to go with braces in the first place.

Invisalign has got a very narrow spectrum for it to be successful, unless u are within the parameters then it is not the perfect choice ( but i cant comment with accuracy because i do not know you or seen your case)
