Hi all, Seeking your help on planning my holidays in France in March. I'll be flying to and from Paris and would like to visit Lourdes in between. Going by advice on the Trip advisor lourdes forum, there are night trains from Paris to Tarbes (close to Lourdes) and back , but the bookings are not open for them and maynot open until nearer to date. But again it seems these night trains could get suspended as well. So I'm in 2 minds whether to

    • Wait till March to see whether these night trains can be booked. The night trains would save me a stay in Lourdes as well as days lost in daytime travel for 6.5 hrs back and forth
    • Book for daytime trains and stay in Lourdes now itself , as by March , incase the night trains gets cancelled, the costs for both would've gone up considerably.
Have read through recent posts for travel to Paris and found some very useful info there. Hoping that there could be some insights here that might help me make a decision on this.

    Thanks all

This site has advice on the night trains

Though it states that tickets go on sale 92 days in advance so March should be available, perhaps they've all sold out?

Oh , I didnt think of that possibility, as bookings are open for January and Feb and not March . Maybe they are indeed sold -out. Wonder how can i confirm that.
