Hey peps I have a mixer tap for filling up my batch, the cold water comes out no problem but the hot water has stopped to a tiny dribble, about a year ago I noticed that the pressure from the hot water was reducing and this continued until the way it is now, there is no problem with the hot water on any other tap.
Our water supply is very hard so I'm thinking maybe its full of limescale or could it be air locked, how would I go about fixer both problems

Is it a high or low pressure tap?
Low will have 1/2" pipe connecting it, and high will have hoses with 1/4" connections screwed into the base of the tap body. I would think it's high pressure and the hose is blocked with lime scale if it's an issue in your home.

If you have hard water, you may need a water softener fitted on your mains feeding the house. Are you getting green/blue stains on wash hand basins or bath from taps or around brass connections? It can also cause pin hole in copper.

I had the same problem this week with my Kitchen mixer tap. I checked the qualplex pipe connected to the tap, plenty of water and pressure but water was not coming out of the copper connector that was connected to the qualplex. Inside the copper connector was a plastic unit when i checked it was stuck with lime scale. I cleaned it up and released the plastic unit and solved my problem. I hope this helps you a little or makes sense to be honest...
