    Hi, welcome to boards.ie.

Depending on what you are looking for, you might consider the student residences in UCD - they may have some vacancies at this time of year. http://www.ucd.ie/residences/our-residences/

Also consider doing a deal with a B&B.

    Otherwise look for 'digs' (lodgings).

thank you, I am talking to some poeple now who offer me a room.
One person wants me to sign a rental agreement form,
plus sending the deposit via bank transfer.

I am concerned about sending the deposit before going there.
Is that a normal method for renting rooms for students?
    Thanks !!!
    anna

Never give money without seeing the property and meeting the agent / landlord.

Some scams will ask you for money before you see the property and the landlord will claim to be in a different country.
