Drivers Licence ??

I swapped my Irish drivers License in Saskatchewan in April 2013 .As part of the process i had to surrender my license to obtain a Canadian one .
I didn't mind so much as my Irish License was due to expire in November anyway .
Now i realize that the NDLS have changed their process of applying for or renewing your license and that i am required to present myself at my local office
. This is impossible as i will not be back in Ireland until some time in 2015 .
What are my options as i dont want to lose my Full irish licence and the NDLS website states that i cannot swap a Canadian License for an Irish one .

I don't think you can swap a Canadian for an Irish one. But as long as your current one hasn't expire for more than 10 years I think you can apply for a replacement/renewal license.

You will have to be in Ireland to do that. I think you are not supposed to get a Irish License unless you are resident in Ireland./

If you've surrendered your Irish licence then the Canadian authorities will have sent it back to Ireland, and you'll be marked on the system as having surrendered it. Therefore, you don't have an Irish licence any more. There's no agreement as yet between the Canadian and Irish licencing authorities, so it looks like your stuck with just the Canadian one. Of course, the only way you'll know for sure is if you call the NDLS and ask them.
