Ringed robin

I was given a very helpful link to colour-ringed birds when I made a query about a ringed gull I'd seen on the Liffey.

But is there anything similar for ordinary metal rings, not coloured? I spotted a robin the other day and have a couple of photos which I can read some of the detail on. Attaching photos in case anybody can help.

    TIA.

There are literally thousands of birds ringed this way every year. Email the BTO with as much not the number as you can, alipong with species, location and date.

You should be able to enter the info HERE

Maybe mention in the bottom bit that you have pics of it too.

cr-birding.org is a good resource as well. Just to be aware that it might several weeks or months for any response.

Just for colour rings though I think? Metal ring info all goes through the BTO*, who get in touch with the ringer to get the details.

*if it was ringed in Britain or Ireland

Well, I can definitely read "Brit..." so I'll email the BTO this evening.
    Thanks for the help.
