personal achievements and career goals?

    Hi,

I'm filling out an application for the H.Dip in Arts in Primary Education course at Hibernia College...

At the end of the form they ask you to provide "a statement outlining any supplementary information (personal achievements, career goals, etc.) that you feel may support your application and explaining why you wish to enrol on this program."

So far in the application I've mentioned working with children before (but only in a retail environment - a kids' shop where I lead parties, and a few weeks of working as a teachers' assistant in a primary school as part of transition year). I really can't think of any other personal "achievements". I just love learning and I like children. And as for career goals... I don't know how to say that my sole aim is to be a teacher. I don't want to make my way up to becoming a principal. It's not a means to an end,I just want to be a primary school teacher to the end of my days. I mean that might change... maybe teaching won't be how I imagine it to be and I won't even stick with it. But it's my only aim right now. I guess ideally I'd like to work in a secular school, but that's the only thing I can think of.

TL;DR - how can I say I want to "just" be a teacher without sounding like I have no ambition or drive?

Career goal is a teacher with drive. You can say you will deliver the curriculum with passion and will always make it so interesting that your student will want to learn more. Your goal is that all students will reach their potential.
