    Hi,

I am looking to build a new PC however I am unable to save enough cash to buy everything at once (i keep dipping into my fund :)), so what I am planning on doing (if possible) is use some components from my old PC to tie me over for a few months and upgrade as I go along. So :

    1. What is your budget? Initially €400-500 (could stretch if really needed)

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming and media center (XBMC)

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? NO

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
Yes - DVD drive , 500GB HD, Corsair CX 600W psu (will this need to be upgarded?), Nvidia GTS 250 Gpu (I plan on keeping this for first few months and then replacing when I get more cash together, or will this be way too underpowered?)

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes (21 - 24 inch)

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Would like a new Mouse and Keyboard but not essential at moment. Will also need an extra long HDMI cable to connect to TV for XBMC, currently using long VGA cable.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

    8. How can you pay. Any

    9. When are you purchasing? Hopefully End of next month but maybe earlier

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? I should be ok

I should clarify just in case that the initial budget is for what I think i need at this point in time (Case, Motherboard, RAM etc). I plan to go again with €300 or so in a few months to get a new Graphics Card and if needed a new PSU.
