Baggage and Connecting Flight

    Hey there,

So I'm moving to Oz in March but stopping off in Thailand for a few weeks on the way. I had intended on leaving my large suitcase in Bangkok airport (in the left luggage area) so that I don't have to lug around too much with me while travelling and just bring a smaller bag around Thailand.

My problem now is that I booked a flight from Cork - Chiang Mai with a 3hr stopover in Bangkok airport. I don't want my bag to go to Chiang Mai, I want to take it off the plane in Bangkok, put it in left luggage and collect it on my way from Bangkok to Oz.

Has anyone done this before? Or has anyone taken their bags off the plane in between connecting flights?

    Thanks a mill!

When your checking in for your flight in Cork, ask the check in agent if you can pick up your bag in BKK, It will be a yes or no answer!

This shouldn't be a problem and may even be required as you may have to pass customs at BKK.
