have a problem with a neighbour and a wall which he paid to build and i paid for supplies but have no proof
the wall is about 40 yards away from his house and 20 feet away from mine.
he is telling me it is his wall on his property.
the piers are on bot sides of the wall.
how do i measure to see if it is in his property i have a ditch on the other side so is measuring harder.
if it is in my land can i do what i want .
there was a gate joining the two propertys but this is blocked up with old blocks and bricks and looks rottren on my side i asked to let me fix it properly with a capping and was told he will get a digger and shove it all in on my street if i touch it.
and put up a sod ditch and there is nothing i can do about it.
    so please help :(
just finding out is it mine will do

Talk to a solicitior and a land surveyor and determine who owns what. Get a copy of the invoice for the blocks from the builders' providers.

You'll have to get the maps out and see. Depending on where it is and whether it's registered land or not will dictate where you look. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will point you in the right direction but it might be best to just compromise.
