YOU have to look at areas, under the ra limit,
for a couple with 1 child.
    You d, need a 2 or 3 bed house,or apartment,
    or 2bed flat .

    http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/supplementary_welfare_schemes/rent_supplement.html
seems to be limit dublin fingal area,
850 per month ,couple with 1 child.

950 per month ra limit ,dublin,
    outside fingal area.
    fingal= dublin west ,i think.
You can get info,or help from
    threshold, temple bar.
    or crosscare.cathedral st,
    off o,connell st.dublin.

    see www.threshold.ie

Some areas,,its very hard to find a 2 bed unit, under 950 euro per month.

    read the link,
    950=limit,
if your rent is 951 euro,
    you get zero rent allowance.
ie you are not allowed pay more than 950,
    if you want ra,
you are not allowed to top up rent,
    to 1000 or 1100,
    or even 970 euro.
    IN most cases,

    say your rent,is 900 ,
    ra covers 800,
    the tenant pays say 100,
eg 10 per cent of the total rent.approx.

And you need to apply for council housing,
    with dublin city council,
    get on the housing list.
before you can even apply for rent allowance.

go to housing dept, wood quay.
    fill out housing application form.
    office there closes at 4pm.
on part of ra form it says,

HAVE you applied for housing from the council ,?

my friend was on ra for 7 years,
    woman with 1 child .
    SO i know the rules.

    IN some areas,
its easier for a woman with a child ,
to just rent a house ,
as landlords know the ra limits.
And just rent out the houses for years, to ra tenants.
ie it maybe easier to find a house ,than a large 2bed flat .

I would think the areas your looking at are very expensive. I know Dublin. West better lots of garages also if your looking for work rent is cheaper also. Three bed semis are from 1000-1300

ITs possible those area,s maybe over the limit,
    950 pm,
re houses for rent, unless you can find a 2 bed unit for rent.
Threshold, give out a list at 11 am, mon-friday,
from the cafe in temple bar,
    focuspoint cafe.
    LIST has
houses ,flats advertised for rent that accept rent allowance.
    its updated daily .
    Look on daft.ie,
rent .ie ,house ,or 2bed flat ,apartment, for rent,
    different areas,
to see the average rent in an area.
In general southside, vs northside dublin
    ,
rents are cheaper northside in general.

I don,t know if they ,ll email you a list,
i think crosscare give out a list too.

IF all the houses in an area are over 950,per month
whether the landlord takes rent allowance is irrelevant.
