    Hi folks
Got a new radiator fitted today by plumber. Just a query really. The rad heard up really quickly and gives put great heat but when the heat switches off it seems to cool down much quicker than the older radiators in the house. Is that because the older rads have much more water in them so hold the heat longer? Standard heatmerchants rad
    Cheers
    Mick

The older rads have more metal in them is more like it. Plus the newer rads are low water content too

Newer rad = lower water content = higher heat transfer / efficiency = cools down quick when off is a side affect

Remember the old iniffecent cast iron radiator in our school, 10 gallons full.
    Try heating that !!
