I've started using "shamrock" seaweed minerals only as a neighbour started selling them and I gave him a turn.I'm using the phosphorus/copper block licks and the pre calver bucket....they stone mad for them but they are a shocking price €33 for 2 blocks compared to €13 for 2 salt blocks in the coop....if they do what they supposed too they might pay off in the long run I don't know the jury's out

im paying 50 for a 20kg bag giving 50grams per animal a day.

they seem to be thriving on it, serious weight gain and shiny coats

Thats clear robbery. e20 for a 20kg bag buy in bulk and it can be got at 18. The dearest ive heard yet is 32.
There are heaps of lads out there selling it now , you can buy ddirect from the manufacturers, frank ryan sells it too as does drummonds and a majority of mineral suppliers.

Just to let you know, the Ocean Harvest seaweed being talked about is called OceanFeed. Locations where you can get it are on their new website oceanfeed.ie, or contact them directly and they'll look after you.
Also, it retails at €39.50 for a 20Kg bag, and lasts twice as long as others because you only give 70g per animal per day (for cattle).
    I hope that helps.
