Problems picking up Saorview on new TV

    So I bought one of these today http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1872457.htm#pdpFullProductInformation The specs say

    Digital features:

    Freeview digital tuner.
    Saorview digital tuner (Saorview can only be received in the Republic of Ireland).
    7 day electronic programme guide (EPG).
    CI+ slot.

    Freeview is picked up fine but not a sniff of Saorview and yes I can pick up Saorview fine in my location in N.I

    I am thinking when setting up the TV on location I should of picked Ireland rather than UK?

    I am assuming that the aerial point you have this TV connected to, delivers a usable Saorview signal, so the problem is definitely with the TV.

    Try the Ireland setting. Country setting seems to more overtly affect some receivers than others: hopefully it won't block the UK channels, when set to Ireland.

    Are the Saorview channels stored in the 800s by any chance?

    Try setting the TV to Country=Ireland.
