Bit of help needed with maximus arcade

Hi folks, I have maximus arcade running mame at the moment but have been trying to get other emulators running on there without any success, I have just set it up on a clean XP install, mame running fine but so far when I try and run GENS it will just get as far as displaying the list of games but wont launch anything.

I have the paths pointing at the .exe and game files, i would assume the paths are correct as maximus arcade does display the Genesis roms.

GENS is listed as a supported emaulator.

Has anyone set this up properly with lots of emulators? even a couple of screen grabs of the preferences window would be a help..

I may well be doing something stupid so I dont want to go trying to get loads of emulators set up on there untill i resolve this issue..

Alternatively can anyone point me to a good guide for setting up with a list of compatible and emus

I don't use Maximus, I use Hyperspin, I think most the folk on here are the same.
Has Maximus no log file which records what happens when you try launch a game if it doesn't load?
Can you open emulators and launch the games manually?

Emulator works fine on its own, no log file so bit hard to tell whats going on..

Thanks Cathal, That was the documentation I was referring to originally, Im having a mess around with MALA at the moment and seem to be getting Somewhere....Hyperspin probably not an option on this pc, awesome spec at the time bot not so hot these days!
