Father Cullen Doing Good Work in the Philippines?

    The Philippines. Not the most obvious place you'd expect an Irish priest. I mean let's face it they are way more catholic than us now. In Ireland priests are scarce now and in demand. So in the first place it's a bit strange he's there.

    Yet he's there and apparantly saving young girls from bars. It doesn't seem like he approves of even older girls selling themselves in bars.

    A controversy has emerged. It seems Father Cullen is accused of bribing witnesses and seeking the limelight.

    Could it be that Father Cullen is a shining example for us? A good guy?

    Or something else?

    Also where is he from? That strange accent! Is he a Kerry man?

    Irish missions are worldwide, having a long history of working abroad including the Philippines. A vast majority of them has positively contributed to local society. It is known in the past that Irish priests have sought to improve social justice and aided in have US bases removed from that country.
