    Hi,
Me self and the woman are hoping to head away on a sun holiday around August. I know there's loads of info on sun holidays online but I was hoping to get a little information from people who have been to these places in the last few years. Were both 23 and would be travelling as a couple so no large groups.
I've travelled a bit before but usually tagging along on someone else's invite.
I'm lookin at the typical sun holiday destinations such as lanza, algarve, majorca but I'm hoping to get some other ideas that anyone would have. All we want is a nice beach and good nightlife that we can avail of if we wish. so if anyone could give some input I'd really appreciate it!

Malta, it's got beaches, good nightlife and fairly cheap. Great weather also.

Check out Dubrovnik, great beaches, great nightlife and loads to do during the day. The best thing about it is that it's relatively cheap compared to other sun destinations.

PM if you need a hand.

Myself and my girlfriend went to the Algarve last year, stated just outside Albuferia. It was am absolutely superb holiday, Albuferia was perfect place for a couple. Montechoro has a bustling strip when you can have your wild nights if you like. The beaches are unreal nice , there was loads of things to do, unreal restaurants. I can't wait to go back again it our first holiday together and a really perfect location. PM me of you want any other details

Albuferia is perfect for some time together as a couple. Montechoro about 5 mins away has a busy strip for nightlife. The beaches were unreal and had loads to do, restaurants were good too, I couldn't recommend it enough. Fantastic holiday, really has something to offer everyone

have to disagree....a regular to Albufeira so have eaten in a good few of the restaurants (you have to eat off the square on the side streets, you get ripped off just for eating on the square). plenty of daily specials on the boards outside the restaurants. you can pay €8 in il cappicino for a 3 course meal with wine. dom capito have great specials. best carvery is the cockeral off the strip. clay oven is the best indian in my opinion and is very good value. ricardo's off the square is great pizza/pasta place and our favourite is O Veleiro, again off the main square, but you have to book here, main dishes around 7.50- 10euros...phone 289 514334 for anyone heading to albufeira

p.s. did not like the food in jojo's...

I found Dubrovnik to be quite expensive (visited October last year), much more than Spain and Portugal especially for eating out. They joined the Euro-zone recently so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Perhaps it is just the extreme popularity of this port with the many cruise ships that dock every day.

IMO Malta isn't suited to a young couple looking for nightlife. It's more of a quiet place with a lot of older tourists. There's nightlife in Paceville/St Julians but that's about it really.

The Canaries, Spain or Turkey would fit the bill more.

I would recommend Bodrum or Gumbet. Plenty of nightlife in both those reports, ideal for a young couple in their 20's, lots of nice restaurants and beautiful beaches, watersports, day trips etc. You could also go to Kuşadası but personally I much prefer the Bodrum peninsula.

Sopot (Gdansk) in Poland. Great spot in the summer. Cheap flights, cheap food, cheap drinks.

Albufeira is a lovely spot - went there last year and it was a girls holiday but there were plenty of young couples there too

disagree all you want, obviously your idea of a good restaurant and mine are two different things.
