Warts on heifers

Have a heifer about a month from calving with large wart growing straight on the end of one of her teats. Wondering should I remove it (cut in off) or try and treat it or what? Afraid if I let it there that it will be cover her whole teat end when she calves, and I won't be able to milk it, thus lose the quarter. Anyone ever seen anything like this, have any cures etc?

Is it suitable for ligation (tie it off)?

Was at an open day on heifer rearing in the autumn and your man used fishing line to cut wart off. Wrapped it around her teat and pulled the string back and forth till it cut through the wart. Might be worth a try

Thanx lads, would I try a lambing ring on it? Just worried if I go too high, I'll take off the end of her teat and damage the muscle that keeps milk in, or if I go too low the teat end will still be blocked by the remainder of it. It's complicated!

Try dipping it with diesel. I had ok results with that other people say olive oil. Your basically trying to stop air getting to the wart.
