Recommend a (digital) piano

I've been learning to play the piano for the last year and a half, so I think it's time I moved on from the small and crappy keyboard I've been practicing on to something more piano-like.

I've decided to go the digital piano route, not least because it's more practical for my situation in terms of space than an acoustic, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me a model.

In terms of budget, I'm willing to go to ~€800 but if someone can save me a few bob on that I won't complain.

I'm not pushed on brand nor do I need it to be laden with various voices, bells or whistles.

All I want is something that feels and sounds the part, as well as being decent enough to last me many years to come.

Any suggestions welcome - thanks in advance.

I have a Yamaha Clavinova its just so beautiful and a pleasure to play. For me, I wanted something that sounded and felt like a real piano, but also needed to be able to adjust the volume - I couldnt bring the grand piano with me when I moved out of my folks house! Picking the right digital was important, Ive played for 26years so of course I wanted something that will last. It was, if I remember correctly €1600, that was 4 years ago so Im sure they have reduced the price since. Best advise is go to a piano shop and actually play them all. I went to one on Monday with my Dad - hes buying a new baby grand, so I had the pleasure of playing a 100K concert piano!!! imagine my contentment! Depending on your location I could give you a little list of the best piano shops Ive been to? Next mission is to learn the harp!
