Just an update on this. Received it early February and so far delighted with it.
As I said previously its for my 5 year old, so I loaded it up with 20 odd games from playstore, art/colouring apps and Netflix app and its working perfectly. Screen not hd , but more than passable. Just to note , I was stung for 16 Euro from customs (they valued it at 45Euro even though I payed 36?) so it set me back 52 in total.
Considering you could pay 30 odd Euro (and the rest) for loads of those educational type tablet toys (press the letter A,.... find the colour red etc!!) and the kids get bored of them so easily, this , (provided it stays going!) is a bargain imo. Just wanted to post this as so many BA threads on cheap tablets are shot down straight away. As I said, for a kid, great bargain imo.

i just want a tablet to watch some series on netflix is this a good or a bad option for me??

Almost every tablet beginner says I just want it for this that and the other but inside a week are wishing they bought something better. Sure its fucntional but resolution, colours and viewing angles will be bad and battery life will be terrible. If your budget is really tight get something better secondhand or if you can manage 80-€100 you'd get a refurb nexus 7, kindle fire, nook hd with a warranty that will be streets ahead.

    it's annoying using them

the price gap has also closed to the good tablets

Disagree with previous two posters - its absolutely grand for Netflix. Ok ,battery life might not be great, but check out the thread here about the Samsung tab 3 tablet snd you'll see complaints about battery life on that (much) more expensive tablet too. If you are going to be watching it anywhere with a plug socket nearby , which includes trains these days, its not an issue. We haven't had an issue with battery life, but then again we don't have it going fot hours on end. At the end of the day, of course its not going to be as good as an ipad etc, but look at the difference in price ffs - its not even comparable. Imho definitely worth the money.

As you said you bough it for a 5 year old. I'm sure your 5 year old is ok with it and its probably an appropriate price point for them with the chances they'll drop and break it.

I still don't think any adult should be buying a cheap tablet with rubbish resolution, rubbish battery life and a crappy battery thats capacity will fall off a cliff in 12 months. 'Friends don't let friends buy cheap tablets'

Noone was suggesting they buy an ipad you can get refurb nooks and kindles for around €85 and refurb nexus 7 for around €100 it a much better investment for an adult.

You are speculating that this is the case, I actually have this tablet and im telling you the resolution is not "rubbish", the battery life is not "rubbish" and as for the battery capacity that will "fall off a cliff in 12 months" again speculation ..... and even if this does turn out to be the case, I would not have a huge problem with a year lifetime at this price.
Why don't you show the poster where he/she can pick up one of these superior tablets for even twice the price ???
    Horses for courses I suppose.

Its not speculation that 800x480 is crap resolution for a 7 inch screen in 2014. In terms of the battery thats experience I get asked to repair these things all the time. If a chinese lipo says 3000mah you're generally looking at 2200-2600 measured capacity from the strarting blocks and its downhill from there thats across phones, tablets, mp3 players, mp4 players, handheld game consoles you can't expect quality at rock bottom prices.

Argos + parcel motel - they usually have several options under €90, they sell out quick but restock every few days. But in general just check hotukdeals current and past deals you will find outlets for refurb tablets.

Agree. HUKD are nuts for tablets. Judging from comments there they have one for every room in their houses. There is at least one tablet deal per day there.

Screen resolution of 800x480 isn't decent. Do not pay €60 for that. These tablets will just make you sad.
