Are you AA member or have breakdown assist with comprehensive insurance?

They will get your car open for you and you can access the boot through the back seats.

Get a new key cut from the reg. Not sure how much it would be for your car but cost me €20 for an old fiesta.

If the double locking is activated (assume you had the car locked then used the boot button on the key to open the boot then closed the boot with the key in) then the usual pulling out the top of the door trick won't work.

I'd imagine getting a blank key cut from a code would be the cheapest way. I'd nearly give yer man the €100 just to get it sorted provided the car wouldn't be damaged.

Whichever window someone will fit in as tgr doors probably won't open until the keys pressed. Make sure and tape it up well to save the glass going everywhere but expect a bit of a clean up after. Use a pointed object as a hammer will bounce off it I used a sledge in the end. As regards the insurance just tell them a slitor went through it they wont ask any questions

ok so chance are that if i break a small window where i can put my hand through then i wont be able to open the doors ? i will have to climb in and lift go via the back seats to the boot ?

thats a bit of a problem cos will be driving around with no window for a few days :-)

prob best to wait for the fella

Well that was the case with my polo the doors wouldn't open until the button was pressed. Might be different with the octavia though. If the windows are wind down ya could try the small window and wind it down

I had keys cut and car open within 20 minutes of locking it. Ring around the garages should be able to give you etas.

A lot easier than replacing a window.

Ouch! exact same thing happened me-threw overalls with key in pocket into '07 Octavia boot ended waiting for RAC guy to arrive using tiny little air bags & plastic lever to widen side door frame to get in and pull door lever twice to open the blasted thing. I know exactly how that feels:confused:
I do remember a garage man saying that the bonnet can be opened and maybe they might be able to do something with the programming tool....but I was way out in the middle of nowhere

Registration/ownership cert? Try calling round a few different places. All I needed was the reg plate number. Sounds a bit dodgy I know!

You don't need the airbags although they are handy. A smooth plastic door wedge, a good aim and a brush handle/coat hanger should do the job. As mentioned if the double lock is on you might not have much hope.

Presume the OP is sorted now.
