Did you get one, or have experienced it, or is it just your opinion ?
    Thanks

My father bought one of these back in the 80's and I had to make the paper logs, soaking old newspapers in a big plastic bin and making up the logs - its a lot of effort for something that doesn't burn particularly well.

Unless you have lots of time on your hands and dont mind the stink of sodden newspaper, I would not recommend them

I remember my own father enlisting our labour as children, to make those paper logs with the wretched "briquette maker". They took an age to dry and wouldn't so much burn as smoulder, very slowly. They really aren't worth the time and effort, they might make some sense if we lived in a drier climate that facilitated the drying of them.

they are the very definition of more hassle than it's worth. we had one and it was useless. ages drying the logs out, a lot of effort shredding the paper first, and then they don't burn great at all..

Thanks for the advice folks, I think I'll give this one a skip this time until someone comes up with a better solution.

    Thank you

Add some saw dust and they burn well.trial and error.
