Hi all. Have killed a couple of these dudes in the house over the last few months but Ive never seen them before, anyone know what they are?

My first thought was a young ear wig but I dont think so now.

    I think it's a Silverfish :)

Yep, it's a silverfish. They're not harmful. They like to live in moist crevices. I think they're gorgeous.

If there are lots of them, they can do significant damage to books.

I used to have loads of them in my house. Then the dog learned that he could eat them. No more silverfish.
