Suzuki Cappuccino that I use in fair weather. Costs €199 to tax and about €300 to insure on a classic policy.
Get something around 20 years old and there is no need to mirror your NCB.... Unless you want something more modern, of course. :D

More about torque than top end speed, she's well down on the 535d for speed.

The small blocks are <6.0, then it is a big block (mostly >7 liters)

Considering my 156 v6 only gets driven on a Saturday and Sunday and I'm a bus wanker Monday to Friday I consider it a weekend jammer!:)

It really would be, couldn't have it as a daily as I have a 14 month old and it's known for old engine failure, bad fuel consumtion , hot/cold start issues and the Mrs wouldn't understand my arguement of 'But look at it??' it's stunning!'...

But as a weekend car it's very tempting..

That is a nice car, good price as well say that'd go for around €4k, not that into the usual Audi/BMW though, prefer Italian/Japan..

Cheap to buy and relatively cheap to tax for what it is. Nothing like a good weinkel on a backroad at the weekend to relieve stress.

    Keep talking...have you had one?

If it's too cheap to buy chances are the engine is on it's way out. Request a hot compression test, done with a proper rotary compression tester.
Ask if coils/plugs/leads have been replaced and whether were purchased off ebay. If they haven't been changed or if ebay coils are used, you're looking at a big service bill.

My mk2 gen1 MR2 is fun for a weekend car, it feels so alive compared to the A4. A4 is a great car, possibly with better outright grip and braking ability than the MR2 but a little insulated from the road. The MR2 has front-end feedback and much better road feel through the suspension even though it's the original suspension that is on it.
