New type of hearing aid

    Hi all just wondering has anyone ever heard of this new type of hearing aid today in my local paper they are looking for volunteers to try them out,they are worn 24/7 for up to 3mths.in theory it sounds fantastic,your thoughts please... http://www.phonak-lyric.co.uk/what-is-lyric/what-is-lyric/

    First thing that would worry me would be wax build up, if it's not allowing any air in (esp if any such hole gets bocked by wax).

    If the battery goes, and you're not near a specialist, are you fcuked?

    I think it's analog, and it's one use only, so once used, you need a new one. Thus, 3 a year? I think I'll stick with my current hearing aids.

    Agree with you there.Also, apart from wax, what about condensation. I don't see any advantage in wearing one 24/7 - good night's sleep and all that!
