Hey I was hoping someone would be able to explain something to me, my car failed the NCT tonight with the attached failure. Does this mean that the Front Suspension rear Wishbones need to be replaced on both sides?

Bring to your mechanic and get them to repair/replace.

    They have been damaged.
Wast the car crashed or did you hit a kerb or bad pot holes or ramps?

The front suspension rear wishbone "bushes" need replacing. Is it a vw/skoda/audi by any chance? It isn't too big a job.

The wishbone is attached to the suspension at 3 points - at the wheel (balljoint ) and to the car frame(chassis) at 2 points .
The 2 points are known as front and rear (front) wishbone bushings and generally can be replaced
They usually are described as worn but yours says bent/deformed so new bushings may not be enough . Need to get it checked out .

Peugeot 307, cheers guys, I'll ring around and get a quote, he said it wasn't too bad so hopefully just swap them out with new ones.

"Rearmost" would indicate a multi arm setup like the b5 chassis passats have etc. Rather thana wishbone per say. .

Edit: They are wishbone aren't they? Must've hit a path or such at some time to bend the rear of the wishbone!

Did the tester mark them? The guys in My local NCT place use a Yellow crayon to mark damaged/defective parts.
Its very handy to work out what the are referring to sometimes.

Could well have, I haven't had a chance to have a look at them.
