surface rt - xbox movie wont download

    Not sure if this is right place so feel free to move if not. I have a surface rt. I was flying last weekend and decided to try 'rent' a movie from Xbox movies in Manchester to watch on the plane. It wouldn't download. I have tried a few times since in my home in Finland and it still wont work. Any possible reasons? could it be to do with my location?

    Might be. What location is your Microsoft account tied to? You should be able to download regardless, just can't stream when you're outside your location. I've had a few instances where I had to uninstall Xbox Video and reinstall for it to work again, but there's usually an error code with that.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the video app. Same problem. Asked now on Xbox forum so maybe they will help. the Microsoft account is Irish. Not sure where I was when I set up Xbox id.

    I've streamed Xbox video before. And .. the video I've bought before is downloading. presumably. 0%....ok yeah well its 8.5GB. its going. lol
