Windows and Doors in Galway

    Apologies if in wrong forum!

    I am looking for recommendations for a good window company in Galway or nearby. Have already checked out a few and <snip> seem to have what we are looking for but someone told me not to use them.

    Has anyone any experience of this company? or can you give any other recommendations.

    I dont want to be put off by one persons feedback as these things are often not one sided affairs.

    I am looking for either PVC or Aluminium as AluClad might be a risk in my house as its not the best ventilated house in the world and there is moisture on the windows each morning

    true windows in sligo have very nice aluclad products, no connection with them

    yes i agree - for whatever reason - there is a lot of condensation on the windows each morning during the winter

    will have someone to look at it soon and will also need to invest in a good dehumidifier

    What ventilation is currently in the house?

    Vents in walls?
    Trickle vents?
    None apart from opening windows daily?

    hi

    vents in all rooms - thats it : (

    however all upstairs windows are open on latch all day as well

    extractor in kitchen is recirculated but will be ducted very soon

    have been advised against trickle vents for heat loss reasons (heat loss while they are closed)

    Are vents all open or are they blocked up to prevent draughts? One of the main reasons for condensation would be lack of ventilation.

    Will make a difference in the kitchen. Are their extractors in the bathrooms?

    Not sure what they are on about here.


    Have you considered demand controlled ventilation? Give it a google. May be worth the investment though I would suggest getting an expert to assess what the problem is. By an expert i mean someone with no vested interest in selling a product.
