I'm due to do four long haul trips on Emirates in a few weeks, any advice on the best seat to book? B777-300 ULR and ER from what I can make out.

Anywhere at the back, planes dont reverse into mountains!
Seriously though, Anywhere towards the front, turbulence is never as bad at the front for some reason, also easier access to the bathrooms and cabin service

If it is business, don't take the first rows of each section. On the 300 ER the TV screen is further away and it is touchscreen so you are just as well off with a "normal" seat instead of going them.

I sat down the back where the rows are 2-4-2 and not 3-4-3 like the rest of the plane. You're could be last off the plane, but you won't get your elbows bashed every couple of minutes by people passing in the narrow aisle.

On one flight I got the very first row of 2-4-2 so had loads of extra room.

We recently booked Row 17 A, B, C for a number of legs. It was the first row in economy. Seats are slightly narrower due to fixed armrest with table inside.

We really liked these seats, forward of the wing, so noise levels were lower and the view was good. Also food and drink was served first.

With no seats reclining in front it feels more spacious and you can also just about get in and out without disturbing others.

I wouldnt advise though if solo travelling. You may be stuck beside a couple with a screaming baby! It is a bassinet seat.

As others have said also the back of plane is a good location, although it will be noisier and more uncomfortable during turbulence.

I would definitely avoid the aisle seats unless you are a small person - I'm on the tall side and ended up on the aisle and got bashed every time someone went passed.

Aisle seat in the last three or four rows on the 777-300ER are the best, you get the feeling of more space in an otherwise claustrophobic cabin with the 10-a-breast seating.

Even though its touchscreen wouldn't you still have a remote control?

Yes but depending on which generation of interior you get on the ER you can have useless to reasonable remote controls.

Touchscreen is a much much faster way of navigating.

Bulkhead seats, Row 37, ample leg room although watch out for screaming babies!!

Thanks for the replies folks. Unfortunately I'm only going economy. Like the look of the 2-4-2 rows, personally I love turbulence as it breaks the monotony - just tighten the belt and enjoy the ride. And I'd take the noise of the engines over kids any day.
