    Hi!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel in Amsterdam. I'm going for a long weekend with a couple of girlfriends. We're looking for something central but not too expensive. Any suggestions welcome.

    Thanks

Hotels in Amsterdam are expensive especially in the centre but you can find a good deal.

What dates are you going and I can help you find a cheap deal.

We just organized a hens over there last week!

    Try Hampton by Hilton.
    Its beside the ArenA.
Nice bars etc in the area and its safe enough. Great breakfast, everything.
Very reasonable and 50 feet from train station into town in 10/15 mins.

Book a week in advance. All hotels are nearly 60% off rather than booking early!

Been too amsterdam a few times and always book a week beforehand!

Recently stayed at the Westcord Fashion Hotel, which is 5 minutes from the nearest tram stop and 10/15 mins in by tram it cost about 20 for a taxi.Rooms were lovely, and the sky bar in the hotel itself was nice if only a bit small. It's in a very quiet area,so not much going on around it,which wasn't really a problem give it's distance from the city centre.

Hi! Thanks for your help, we're going the 7-9th March. Where did you stay for your hens?

We booked the Hen into NH Amsterdam City Centre. It's about 5 minutes from Dam Square. They also have triple rooms.

Drop me a pm if you need a hand. You should be able to get a room from €87 per person for the two nights.

Thanks so much Recession traveller. So location wise you would recommend NH? Is it close to night life etc?

Yeah it's in a great location for doing stuff during the day and then for the nightlife. I didn't hear any complaints back. We've just booked another group in there for Paddys Weekend.
