just wondering if anyone has got the 41c from applewood to city (near Parnell street) at around 5 pm. How long does the journey take? I know it says journey time on the timetables but does it be quicker or longer at this time. If i got the bus from applewood at 5pm would i be at my stop before 6?

thanks for reading and i hope someone has done this route at this particular time.

The NTA National Journey Planner at www.a-b.ie gives you the ability to check this, as they use the full schedule.

The 16:45 departure from Swords Manor should have you on O'Connell Street for 17:45, and the 17:05 departure should have you there for 18:05.

Otherwise, Swords Express at 16:50 from Applewood will get you to Georges Quay for 17:34 and the 17:20 service will have you there for 18:04.

I can chime in here as I live in applewood / work in town.
41C at 5pm would be a complete nightmare for you. Journey takes an hour at the best of times, in rush hour, expect longer...

You're better off walking down to here -> http://goo.gl/maps/B5vF7
There's a 41X which is the express bus, it will go up to drumcondra then no more stops after that. It will shoot down the M1 and back into swords.
There's one at 5pm, it leaves UCD - I used to get it at 5:10 in town, would be on Eden quay about 5:15/5:20.
That drops you at the cross roads past JC's at 6pm, walk down the hill then.

    EDIT:
If you're in a real rush, get the Swords Express from outside Laughter Lounge, get a 500X its direct to swords Manor - half the time. One leaves at exactly 5pm - €4.20

He/She is going in the opposite direction - so your info is a tad useless!

thanks for both of ur replies, but lxflyer is right MJMC, i am looking to go in the opposite direction. so all in all if it takes an hour at best going from town to swords in rush hour, it should be less going into town at that time. i'd expect that the traffic would not be as bad going towards town as it would be leaving town at that time.
