Perez is dedicating this to Mago and says he got a lot of abuse on Facebook from Mago fans.

He had a media day last week with Golovkin.Photos here

Bastards. How anyone would send him reams of abuse like that and then call themselves a fan of the sport is beyond me.

Couldn't agree more. Hope it doesn't affect Perez going forward

Good to see Mike's career really up amd running. K2 seem to be coming through for him and HBO obviously are keen too.

Hooking up with Sanchez too seems to have suited him.

It's all set up for Perez now.

Weighed in at 231lbs today. Looks in decent shape and is 4lbs lighter than the Mago fight.

Just watched the weigh in and Mike looks a lot leaner than I've seen him before. He's bound to be a bit quicker bit hope it doesent affect his power too much!

Anybody know what time he will be in the ring at?

Just watched the fight this morning, worst performance I've ever seen from Perez, absolute shambles. He didn't even deserve the draw.
Don't know what's up with him but he looked knackered by the 5th and hardly threw any punches. Looked a completely different boxer compared to the abdusalamov fight.

I think Perez can be forgiven for last nights performance. The Mago fight took an awful lot out of him both physically and mentally.Dont forget he took a lot of heavy blows himself in that fight. Then all the grief he got with what happened to Mago and he only had a two month turnaround for last nights fight.Way too soon.

So with all that $hit and to still hold on,it was just a bad day at the office.Takem had no excuses.

He also really lost his focus after getting the cut.Pic here.*Dont click if you are eating*

Yeah I'm just hoping it was fatigue from not getting a break, and it was a nasty cut so should have been a no contest!

Wonder would the haymaker have fought on with that cut!?? Haha

Im a perez fan but he lost the fight on saturday night...done nothing the last 6 rounds and was being outhustled in 90% of exchanges.

They can make excuses for the performance but the judges cant for their cards.

I had wanted to stay up to watch it and am glad that I didn't - it was a pretty disappointing turn out - not just from Perez, but also from Takem.

The cut had some part to play in it - 3rd round in and having that happen isn't ideal, but I don't think it really impacted that much on Perez (plus the team did a great job on patching him up!)- he just seemed to be very calm, relaxed, TIRED and slow. Takem was the same - until he finally started to show some vigour in the last 4 rounds.

I think that Perez was lucky it was called a draw - but I do see how it was called a draw. He was not outboxed significantly in the first 5 - even with the cut - to confidently say Takem had any of those rounds on points.

Haye has never quit, whether cut, knocked down, hurt or exhausted. So ya he probably would of carried on.

He suffered a very nasty cut vs Giancombe Fragomei in a defence of the European Cruiserweight title and soldiered on to a stoppage win. You can see pics of that cut here on pages 6 & 7 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/photo_galleries/6166436.stm
