M&E for new build

My architect is keen to involve a M&E consultant in my new build. However the cheapest quote is €4,500 (some were nearer 10,000). I am not sure that I need the service at that price, am keen to seek opinions from other boarders - has anyone else used them?

My build is~320m2, over 3 floors, underfloor heating on bottom 2 floors with heat pump, mhrv etc and I will be getting PHPP analysis done.
The HP companies will design, supply and install the pump and underfloor heating.
The HRV companies design, supply and install the HRV (And have got a quote for a design and specification for this for €285)

So I am struggling to see the value in the M&E input, grateful for any thoughts

I dont think you need one for that project, spend your €4.5K more wisely than that.
