    Hi,

Just wondering if there are many people out there day trading US stocks?

I'm currently trading them via CFD's.

    Thanks!

Explain a successful trade to us that you took recently and explain why you use CFDs versus spread betting,or share purchase,or options.

Well I trade CFD's because they are leveraged, as are others but i like the setup, i use a direct access platform so i get 100% accurate prices, no added spread, i have a fixed fee per trade. As I begin to increase my volume of shares, the benefit of CFD's will come into play e.g. if i want to open a position of say 2000 or i already have a position of 2000 shares, there only needs to be a bid or ask of 100 shares for me to fill my entire position!

Today I traded SRPT, risk reward of 1:3, bought on bull flag!

Do you spread bet aswell,or have you ever, and if so ,do CFDs hold any advantage ?

No i've never spread bet, just CFD's. Im pretty sure you qualify for dividends while swing trading with CFD's but alas i just day trade, in fact thats a lie, i opened my first swing on a stock today, just a small position on CAMT, has wedge pattern on daily chart, looking to make 100% on it!

Just looked into s/b v cfds ,and found you have to pay tax on gains from CFD trading,i'm 100% against giving those wasting Basstards any more of MY money, for them to give it out as bonuses to over paid ,highly pensioned wasters.

So i'll stick with my spreadbetting thanks.

Do ya get dividents through CFDs ?

I believe you get dividends yes, but you gotta pay tax on both if its your full time occupation! If not CFD's are on subject to capital gains! Anywho each to their own! As long as we're keeping it green thats all that matters!

If you have a job,and are paying tax on your profits from CFD trading, you should have a look at spread betting, the outlay is nearly the exact same, except for the tax issue.
