    Hi,

I'm looking to take either F7 or P2 by distance learning. I know these are both subjects that physically attending lectures would be optimal but in Galway they don't always run if there isn't sufficient interest..... i also have a pretty busy domestic life so attending classes for both would be a stretch.

I used Griffith College distance for F8 and found it great, especially the lectures which were excelent (can't remember his name, from India i think), but thought some on here would have some knowledge of the other colleges offering distance and the quality of the packages and lecturers for F7 and P2.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is a great idea to attempt F7 and P2 together.
I would agree that attending courses is preferable for both these papers but if you cannt make a course then on line is a lot better than just going through the books

Really? I thought they would be a good match, syllabus content wise.

I dont think they would but it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of some people who did both at the same time. On your early studies in P2 I would imagine there would be an assumption that you know all the F7 material and you could get lost fairly quickly.
I didnt do the 2 at the same time myself and maybe it has worked for others in the past as you say there are a lot of overlaps

Would you think taking P1 or P3 would be better? As it is, F7 is the last of the F papers to sit and it would be a waste of 6 months to take just one paper. I'm interested in your input ( with a name like loveacca you've gotta know what you're talking about) or anybody else who is out the far side.

I would do F7 and P1 for June 2014 and P2 and P3 for December 2014. You are then starting P2 with F7 knowledge still in the head

I studied F7 totally on my own, using BPP exam kit and Opentuition free lectures + notes. Had also BPP Study text, but did not really read it. Passed the paper with 74%, and paid in total 30 gbp for the materials. I would really recommend opentuition, their lectures are awsome.
