I am out of contract with upc and was thinking about updating to the new horizon box, I was wondering can I cancel my account and then get my girlfriend to sign up as a new customer to get the cheaper deals on offer. Cheers for any help

Yes that will work
See 2 options below
1)To cancel you have to give 30 days notice to cancel your account that's in your name but make sure your 100% you are out of contract
Then your girlfriend can sign up for a new account and avail of new customer deals

2)Note if for some reason your girlfriend did not want to setup a new account under her name
You can cancel only if your are out of contract and set up a new account under your name but you have to wait 90 Days before you can be considered a new customer
