I have a landscape shot that I would like to get printed at up to A3 size and framed. Being relatively novice I don't know any printers that would do this so any advice would be appreciated. What format and size should the image be saved at in order to print this size? (TIFF, JPEG, RAW etc)

You could try Reeds maybe? It costs a euro or so for the highest quality paper they have. I got a couple of things printed in there and I was quite happy with the result. I'm probably going to get murdered for this here :P

I won't use Reads. Have had work done by them over the years and have been left thoroughly unimpressed.

I've always been happy with Conns in Clarendon Street for prints! Little bit on the pricey side sometimes, but worth it!

Fire for HQ prints, maybe drop into Hang Tough Framing by the Bernard Shaw, Michael in there would be able to direct you local

What do people normally do for printing stuff for camera club competitions? Haven't done any yet, just digital so far!

As high quailty as you can afford, you dont want a crap print job letting you down after all the work shooting and post pro now do you.

Shocking how many skimp on the printing, and its an awful shame

I understand that, it's a combination of cost and convenience - time is precious and I have very little these days, so I'm not sure how I would even get to drop/collect. Online is probably ideal - but I'm not sure how quality would be impacted.

Budget is a big factor too obviously.

i have yet to see exhibition quality prints through standard online companies, 360DPI,Fire, I.A., all mentioned will give you a print of much higher quality, maybe not cheaper but most certainly better value
