Hi guys, im looking at buying a seat leon up in derry, It has fairly high millage for a 2011 but it was a company car after all, on the plus side it has a full dealer service history. I wont be doing big millage in it and i also plan on holding onto it for years to come. Just looking for your opinion on it? Ive done a check on the car reg on car check uk and everything seems to be above board. The link to the car is: http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2011-seat-leon-white-1-6tdi/6242994

    What ye think?

Why are you buying a diesel for small mileage? It's not a good idea long term. Particularly when looking at a VAG model who have the best range of low tax petrol models of anyone.

I would look for a 1.2tsi or better still 1.4tsi. I think those Leons are a very under rated car for the money. Loads of room, good spec, look well and well built although the interior looks and feels a little cheap. Did 120k in a petrol one and would have no issue buying another.

That's a fair point but we're goin to go for the diesel, my wife might be moving company location soon so having the diesel will come in handy for the extra millage if that happens. As the car itself do ye think its a good buy.

If you're going to be doing diesel mileage then they are decent. But bear in mind it's leggy now, a couple of years time it will be very leggy and hard to sell on.

Timing belt/water pump change is due on that at 100k miles so budget for it and use it as a bargaining tool with the seller.
