    Yeah, that should work fine. Won't match the old one exactly, but should be close enough. Expect to pay €20 - €30 for fitting, I'd say.

    I was hoping to replace it myself. Is it an awkward job?

    Yes and no. There are plenty of guides online about how to replace gear shifters. Gripshifters are a little more painful. Being the front shifter makes it more irritating again.

    You'll get there in the end, everybody had to start learning somewhere, an experienced mechanic will do it in 20-30 minutes. But you'll need to set aside half a day to get it right if this is your first time, and be patient.
