    Hi. I am currently on jobseekers allowance :( and my collection day is wednesday. But I am unable to pick it up. Does anyone know does the post office hold onto it for a few days or will my claim be cancelled? I tried ringing the post office but cant get through. Please help, im really worried.

    Get in touch with the social welfare office and tell them why you won't be able to pick it up. It's usually ok to get it the next day, but it's best to be upfront as you're supposed to be available to collect.

    Its usually collectable for about 2/3 days, before its sent back.

    Yes. It is definitely there till Friday if not Saturday.

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Thanks every1. Got thru 2 d post office and they said its there for 1 to 2 days :)
