Dundalk Stadium canopy is a joke

I was at schooling races in Dundalk Yesterday and seen the new canopy over the bookmaker ring. At first it looked like a great idea until i went into the stands, you can only see the last furlong of a race (It's and absolute joke to be honest) The canopy is to high and even when you are at top of the stand you can see very little. I have to say that unless my horse runs i wont be attending Dundalk races again. I know they are trying to get groups to attend and these are not really racing folk but still (the bar is where they will be) and you should be able to view the track from the stand. I think the change was very poorly planned but then again this is Ireland and I'm sure some lad got paid a fortune for this Usefully Useless roof or Art as they will call it.

Has anyone else been annoyed at the stadium?

Would like to see a photo of what your talking about. Ive said it before here about watching the racing in Dundalk where the only really good view is from the bar.
Bear in mind the stand acts as a greyhound track stand. For anyone who has not been to Dundalk just imagine Shelbourne or harolds cross. As a racegoer its very poor indeed and if I want to watch the races from the bar Ill stay at home and get better value from my local paddy power and good pints in my local.
I do thin the extended running rail at the bend from home is a great improvement from a safety point of view and I think it make a fair track even fairer

It probably explains the lack of stewards action against non triers!
