    I was offered €1800 over the phone for 1st to 3rd calver. Had to have lots of milk, good records, PB and the ability to classify well. Solids not important. For export to England.

    selling right cull cows that turn up in calf for ~ 1100 - 1200, what and how much they milk I couldnt tell you

    Plenty quota. Was told before Xmas to supply as much as I like and with milk price as it is....
    Problem is the only cows for sale here are shyte.
    Going to see 80 swiss browns tomorrow.

    Went to see a herd of cows for sale today, not a waste of time.
    80 cows, approx half swiss brown, plus half SB x holst.
    Not a bad cross at all. Anyone use this cross?

    Was in college with a lad and his uncle had a full herd of them. 100 or so of them. Never said much about them but said he got on well with them

    I always thought they looked like Jersey so did not like them, cross with holt would be interesting. Neighbour has a BS bull with heifers one year and he was unhappy with calves so he lasted only one season and he went back to AA & HE since

    Good size animals, about the same as hols. The cross is a real milky.
