    Hi,

Im just wondering if there are any people out there who own a S4 & Nexus 7.

I have a S4 and pretty much use it for everything but I do find the screen size a bit small.

So I was looking at the Nexus 7, but its only a small increase in size but better than the samsung Tab 10".

If I could get some feedback off people who own both as to if its worth owning both or not that be great.

    Thanks.

I have both. It's not a small increase in size, it's more than twice the size!

I use the S4 mostly because it's my everyday phone and with me most of the time during the day.
I use the Nexus when i'm at home and when travelling.

The Nexus, although larger, can also fit into a jeans pocket for instance.

It's great for watching movies, Netflix etc. and for when you just generally need a larger browsing screen.

Between the two i just reach for whichever is closest. And when the battery on one dies mid-use then i just switch to the other.

I have the 2012 model, and got the 2013 version for my wife. She was using an Asus Transformer before and swore she didn't want a change. Since getting the Nexus 7 for Xmas, it's practically chained to her now. BTW, she has a Galaxy S2 phone as well.

I also got a dual port headphone splitter for traveling (planes, trains etc) so that we could both watch movies on the same device at the same time with our own headphones.

I have the Galaxy note II 5.5" and also have a nexus 7. People think the Note is big but when you won one they aren't so big and you would use a tablet often. The extra screen size of nexus 7 makes a big difference.

I have both too, I love the S4 and Samsung's touchwiz (for the most part). The Nexus 7 is a nice tablet, it feels much larger than the S4 but screen is only 2 inches more. It does have Jellybean 4.4 which I find very bare compared to touchwiz but you get used of it. I use the N7 for browsing on Boat browser (hate Chrome) and watching movies on Showbox which look very well on the small screen, only downside is the sound from the speakers is not brilliant but is adequate. Battery too is good but not amazing.

Thanks for the replies. Still torn but I did look at a 10" tab and found that too big to be comfortable.

But by the sounds of it you all agree the extra 2" does make a big difference, which is good to hear.

I've the LG G2 which is 5.2" screen and since getting I've started to think the nexus 7 is to small. Looking to get my hands on a nexus 10 only problem is the new one hasn't been released yet so I'll wait for that.

I have a collection of old and new tablets & a htc one. Heres my take:

Htc one: its a great phone, and ill happily browse the web while out & about on it, not a big fan at home !

10" lenovo k1: got this in 2011, speedwise its still acceptable, but its hefty (700g i think), holding up for any duration isnt really comfy. Its been gather dust for a while cause of this. Big screen is nice for movies and browsing, but i kinda prefer desktop browsing anyway.

8" dell venue 8 pro: its only 450g so its holdable, the screen is a nice compramise between size and portabilty. It wont fit in any pockets though.

Nexus 7 (2012): i love the portabilty of the nexus, it will fit easily enough into big pockets. Its a pleasure to hold as well weightwise. The screensize is nicer than the one, although the fact the android tablet nav bar eats so much screen in 4.4 is pretty annoying imo. An app can get rid of them at least.

I think the nexus is closer to peoples expectations of a tablet, as in you can hold it and use most places for a reasonable amount of time. 10" is fine too, but you need some kind of surface to comfortably use and hold it in my experience (at least with a heavy tablet)

    Thanks imitation

Yeah, that's exactly my thoughts on most of the 10" tablets out.
