Any City Direct users here?

Hey guys. Just wondering if there's many here who would use the City Direct buses for getting in and out to college or wherever?

I ask because I missed my lectures today because when I tried to purchase a monthly student ticket this morning (they're €42), the driver mumbled something about it not being 9am yet and that I'd have to pay the adult price of €62 or buy a single fare of €1.20. I only had a €50 note on me, no change. I thought he'd let me away and pay him later as he sees me every day but he didn't. I called the office and was told they're no longer issuing monthly student tickets due to adults getting their kids to buy them and then using them.

I asked why can they not just make it a requirement to show I.D. when using a ticket but no answer. I emailed the SU to see if they'd be able to contact CD about it but I got a reply asking if they could forward my message onto the CD manager and saying it's up to the bus company themselves.

So I was kinda hoping there were some people who this would affect and who would be able to query the changes as my one little complaint doesn't really have much weight. Cheers :)
