Dunno but he does have a big turnover in cars.he told me he only looks for 500 to 1000 profit per car...his cars are always very well priced compared to most dealers.

I bought a car from him in 2011. Peter is the guys name and is very good to deal with. He buys ex fleet and rental cars and turns them fairly quickly. Mainly high mileage cars but well documented

I bought an 06 vectra. No problems really, couple of minor things that you'd expect, needed a wiper linkage and an air flow meter after about a year. I bought it with 200k kms on the clock and sold it last year with 360k kms on it and it was still going well. Changed it as I wanted something different

He is but bear in mind it's a trade sale so no warranty as far as I remember. He may have changed this now as he seems to be selling a lot more now

I wouldn't worry about that too much to be honest, fleet cars are generally services on time and given everything they need when they need it, unlike most cars for sale in Ireland. Just have a mechanic look over it and have a look at the service book

If a business is selling to the general public then it's not a trade sale it's a consumer sale. That doesn't mean he's obliged to give a warranty (they're optional) but it does mean you have all the usual statutory protection as a consumer. It may not get some things sorted easily but at least you're not entirely left high and dry like you could be if you were buying as a trader.

When I bought my car off him he said it was trade sales only (his words) he was involved in, he was only starting out then so may have gone more main stream now. I see he now deals with trade ins also which he didn't then

Logged in to this site to give out about the Garth Brooks concert been cancelled . Loads of reviews and info that I never know about here. Anyway look up Condron Car Sales to see had they any reviews. I bought my BMW 520d from them in 2011. Going like a clock and never missed a beat. Due a upgrade soon(if the funds let me) and I will be going back to them. Sister bought a Mazda 3 last year and a good few lads in work that I told about them bought up there too. Nice cars and easy to deal with.

Well so much for fleet cars being looked after,I bought a passat from condron a 1.6 diesel and it had full vw service history and I can tell you there not maintained that well, first the air con compressor failed then the egr valve and the car was on variable service intervals.Fleet cars are sold on for a reason, there about to start breaking and cost the fleet company money.

None of those items have anything to do with maintenance.

As has been said, none of these fall under scheduled maintenance. A car on variable service should be looked after better in theory as the car analyses the quality of the oil etc and throws on a service light when it reaches a pre defined level of carbonisation or consistency depending on maker. Also all the fleet driver has to do is call the account manager in the fleet company and they arrange service & replacement car so it's no hastle at all for him.

Fleet cars are sold on for a reason, yes. The fleet operators usually get them from a dealer with an agreed buyback amount after 36 months. Nobody that has a company car usually keeps them for longer than 2 or 3 years. It reflects very well on a company if they have a fleet of current model current reg cars.
