Does anyone know if the BMW e60 5 series from 2006 onwards comes with ISO fix as standard ?

They don't have a folding rear seat as standard though if that is important.

Are you sure on this. Looking at a 2007 E 60. And the owner has checked and insists no ISO fix.

I'd say he isn't looking hard enough or doesn't know what to look for

No idea, but I'd be uncomfortable with retro fitted isofix mounts.

I'd be amazed if they weren't there, all post 06 cars were required to have them at an EU level.

I've an 03 Saab with them, but they're hidden from view, you need to separate the seat and back cushions to get at them.

    Thanks for input.

I'll ask seller to check again, as you say - they are probably hidden and you have to root to get them out.

Anyone here with a 5 series from 06/07 > are the isofix hooks well hidden ?

I don't know about that. We have a 2007 E90 without ISOFIX - it was an optional extra at the time of ordering the car in Jan 2007.

Just went down to put washer fluid in my car, so had a quick look in the back of my 08 E60.

There is a small symbol printed on the leather, near where you'd expect the ISOFIX brackets to be - very noticable on the Beige leather, and from memory very easy to spot on the Black leather as well (small round symbol in grey).

Can't remember if it's as easy to see on cloth.

I thought it would be compulsory by now but it isn't yet.
Many new cars now have ISOFIX points built into them, however it is not yet mandatory and some new vehicles may not have them. New types of vehicles must be fitted with ISOFix points from November 2012 and all new vehicles must be fitted with it from November 2014. This will not apply to cars with only one row of seats, which will not be required to have ISOFIX

Could have sworn it's been a standard since 2006 (think I read it on the NCAP site). Even my old 2006 Grande Punto had them, suprised any BMW post 2006 doesn't.
