    anyone come across any red admiral butterflys in the last few weeks.
    i have come across a fair few in my own house since early january,
    just taught it was really unusual to come across so many this time of the year.

    The heat of the house woke them from hibernation. If you want to see them survive the winter put them immediately into a cold dry garage or shed and they may go back to sleep.
