Hi got ferry to St Nazaire with LDlines in mid may and curious as to which do people think are the best campsites for small kids 6 and 4, mobile home type deal.
I am looking at Le littoral at the moment as went to yelloh village 1st time round and liked it.

Used to stay with Pierre & Vacances in Port Bourgenay over the years, 5 mins away from Le littoral. Went in there once but often passed it, always seemed lively. Got friends with the lifeguard and a few workers there and they all loved the place. Lovely cycle routes around there, I used to cycle to les sables do lone daily on my holiday, cycle route all the way. Le littoral also run a free bus to the beach "plague du veillon", nice beach, good for swimming if the tide is right, can be rocky in places. And les sables is always buzzing, great beach, nice for dinner out walk on prom in evening etc.
Travel distance of la tranch sur mer, La Rochelle, la Roche sur yon for shopping if your into it. Nice decathlon close if your into sport.
Also Indian forest is a great place to visit if the kids like adventure things, like a tree adventure course.
Don't go to the castle in tolmont st hilaire, crap!
    Recommend that area.
But the vendee is awash with campsites so I'm sure some posters here will have great suggestions, but I do love the area Le littoral is in, so much my family and I were there 9 times.
