Is it safe to put a PC in the kitchen?

    I'm concerned that steam would cause cumulative
    damage, leading to premature failure.

    Perfectly save as long as you are not putting the pc over the saucepan. I presume you have a extractor fan

    I used to be worried about this, but for 2yrs now have desktop in kitchen in alchove and no problems.

    I make a point of keeping the monitor covered to prevent any streaks or deposits when kitchen gets very steamy to save any annoying marks on screen or extra cleaning. I'm lazy:D

    To be on the safe side, you could keep the actual PC itself in a press and only have the monitor, mouse and keyboard out in the open.
