    friesan bullocks currently a good trade 580 kg made 1120 today in the mart when you read some papers lately you would think you would never get rid of them

    I think the trick with Friesians is to get them to over 550 kgs. As they need to exceed 700kgs minimum in general before they finish off grass a lot of farmers are put off them. However when they get to to this weight they are able to be finished of grass before 200 days.

    It different with WH ans AA these can finish before 650 kgs and usually are well finished at 700kgs (killing out between 360 and 370). Where as a Friesian can go to 800kgs before killing 400DW.
